Pryzlo Privacy Policy

Pryzlo is a price and marketplace-offer tracking service. This policy explains what data the Pryzlo browser extension, web application and mobile application handle, why the data is needed, and how it is used.

Data we handle

Pryzlo may handle the following categories of user data:

• Personal information: account name, email address and internal account identifier.
• Authentication information: login credentials are transmitted securely to the Pryzlo server for account registration and sign-in. Passwords are not stored in plaintext; the server stores salted password hashes. Session tokens are used to keep the user signed in.
• Web browsing activity: URLs and domains explicitly selected by the user for tracking, together with tracker configuration and scan timestamps. Pryzlo does not collect a general history of unrelated browsing.
• Website content: page titles, prices, product information and public marketplace listing information extracted from pages the user chooses to analyze or track.
• Operational data: tracker settings, scan status, alert history, browser-device status, mobile push notification tokens and technical error information required to operate and troubleshoot the service.

How we use data

Data is used only to provide and maintain Pryzlo's user-facing functionality, including account access, synchronization, product and category tracking, automatic checks, detection of price changes and new offers, and delivery of user-requested alerts.

Website access

Pryzlo accesses the currently active shopping or marketplace page only after the user opens the extension and asks it to analyze that page. The extension uses Chrome's temporary activeTab access rather than persistent access to every website. Ongoing tracker checks are performed by Pryzlo's server-side scanner. Pryzlo does not build advertising profiles or collect unrelated browsing history.

Remote servers and service providers

Pryzlo communicates over HTTPS with the Pryzlo backend hosted on cloud infrastructure. Infrastructure providers may process data only as necessary to provide hosting, storage, networking and security services for Pryzlo. Pryzlo does not sell user data.

Remote code

The Pryzlo extension does not download or execute remotely hosted JavaScript, WebAssembly or other executable code. Communication with the Pryzlo backend is used to exchange data and perform server-side operations only.

Data sharing

Pryzlo does not sell user data and does not use user data for personalized, retargeted or interest-based advertising. Data is not shared with third parties except where necessary to operate the service through infrastructure providers, to protect the security of the service, to comply with applicable law, or as otherwise permitted by the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy.

Data security

User data transmitted between the browser extension, web application, mobile application and Pryzlo server is sent over HTTPS. Passwords are stored as salted password hashes rather than plaintext passwords. Access to account data requires an authenticated session.

Data retention and deletion

Account and tracking data is retained while the account is active or as needed to provide the service. Users can permanently delete their Pryzlo account from the account settings. Account deletion removes the user's account and associated tracking data from the active Pryzlo service, subject to any limited retention required for security, legal or backup purposes.

Limited Use

Pryzlo's use of information received from Chrome APIs complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data obtained through browser permissions is used only to provide or improve Pryzlo's user-facing price and offer tracking features.
